You Warmed My Heart

Last week we sent out our 2019 Reader Survey. Hundreds and hundreds of you answered. THANK YOU for warming my heart with your responses!

I’ve read every one of your responses to the survey personally. Yes, every single one! Your responses are anonymous, which means I cannot write to you individually about your comments. But I want you to know I see you. I hear you. And I thank you for sharing your challenges, desires, and hopes.

Most of all, you have warmed my heart! Being on this side of the digital world I don’t often get to see your face, hear your voice, and give you a hug as I would wish. But consider this a virtual hug or handshake back! And if you could see my face it would be smiling, or perhaps crying with you a little.

Let me share a few things I heard from many of you.

  1. You appreciate what we do.

And I appreciate YOU!

Many of you mentioned specific moments when you read an email message that helped you just when you needed it, found encouragement in your difficult challenge, or got a response when you reached out for some individual counsel. That’s why we do what we do. To know that our content is making a difference in your life makes it all worth it.

  1. You value truth and practical application.

Many of you mentioned how you appreciate the solid Biblical foundation of the messages we make available, and especially how we include practical suggestions in most of our content.

That’s important to me. Simply knowing facts intellectually doesn’t change you very much. Living as followers of Jesus means truth must be put into action. I’m glad you appreciate how we continually work to help you do that.

  1. You want to follow Jesus better.

For most of you, your faith is clearly one of the most important things in your life. You’re committed to following Him, and living the Christian life in every way.

Many of you wrote of specific struggles, areas of your life where you would like your faith to make a bigger difference – challenges such as marriage issues, physical health problems, depression or anxiety, struggles around sexuality, and many others. Experiencing God transforming you in those difficult areas is what the Christian life is all about!

And that will be an even clearer focus for what Dr Carol Ministries does going forward.

  1. You like stories.

A number of you mentioned you especially enjoy when I share some of my own journey. You used words like transparent, vulnerable, and authentic. That make me smile a great deal!

Going forward I’m going to intentionally do this even more. It’s not because my own story is unique or special. But if sharing what I’ve experienced and how God has grown me can help you embrace His work in your own life, and feel encouraged along the way, then I want to do more of that!

Moving into 2019

Hearing from you is already helping shape what we plan to make available through Dr Carol Ministries during the coming months. We’ll have an announcement next week about some new free resources that you won’t want to miss!

In the meantime, I’d love to hear from you.

  1. Contact me personally.

Some of you mentioned you’d love to connect with me personally. I love that! You can leave me a message, and I read and respond personally. Yes, if you get an email that’s signed “Dr Carol”, you know I’ve written it with my own fingers!

A few of you mentioned you would like to speak with me also. Yes, I do that! As long as you have a US or Canadian phone number, I’m happy to give you a brief call. Leave me a message with your phone number and something of your schedule, and we’ll make it happen.

  1. Invite me to your gathering.

A few of you mentioned you would like to have me speak in your area. If you’re a pastor or church leader, let me know and we’ll arrange a visit. Or let your pastor know I’d be interested in chatting about coming to your church.

At the present time I cannot travel beyond North America; perhaps that will be possible in the future.

And stay tuned for our announcement next week of some exciting new free resources to help your spiritual growth this year!

Thank you for being my friend, for being part of our online family.

Blessings to you in Christ,

Dr Carol Signature
